RELAX

Guests may relax in any of the following areas:

  • A lounge with a fireplace where books, magazines and newspapers are available to all guests.
  • In the intimate, private garden, next to the small, saline (salt water) swimming pool where you may see some squirrels gathering nuts from the surrounding pecan or oak trees.
  • On the deck that overlooks the small garden and has a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, trees and roof tops.

BREAKFAST

Enjoy a wonderful, hearty breakfast freshly prepared by Johan every morning between 07:30 and 09:30. Although usually served in the dining room, breakfast may also be served in the garden around the pool when the weather is good. During the cold winter months, a cosy fire in the hearth will warm the dining and lounge areas.

Guests departing for the day before 07:30 may make arrangements in advance for an early breakfast.

At Aan Dorpstraat Guest House, we use only the best ingredients and prefer to use organic and free range products wherever possible. Guests with special dietary requirements will be accommodated as far as possible. Please inform us in advance.

INTERNET

Aan Dorpstraat Guest House has wireless internet (Wi-Fi) and guests travelling with their laptops will be able to access the internet at a minimal cost of R 10.00 per session.

In addition there is a desk top pc available to guests (at no additional cost) for those who would like to access their email or look up something on the internet.

OTHER SERVICES AND INFORMATION

  • Transport between the guest house and Cape Town International Airport may be arranged in advance by contacting us.
  • Trips to the nearby wine estates or other excursions close by may be arranged in advance by contacting us.
  • Languages spoken: English and Afrikaans
  • Languages understood: Dutch and some German
  • No children under age of 12 years
  • Unfortunately we can't accommodate wheel-chairs
  • Pets are not accommodated.
  • Please contact us with any questions or if you need any assistance. We will gladly do our best to help.
  • Check in: from 14:00 to 20:00 - We will gladly wait for guests arriving on a late flight when arranged in advance
